

A Strategic Agreement for Academic Cooperation Signed between the Faculties of Economics in Prilep and Prizren
An important step toward strengthening regional academic cooperation was marked by the signing of a Strategic Agreement for Academic Cooperation between the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, at St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola, and the Faculty of Economics at the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Rector of the University “Ukshin Hoti” Prizren, Prof. Assoc. Dr. Mentor Alishani, the Vice-Rector for Budget, Finance, and Infrastructure,Prof. Assist. Dr. Adelina Rakaj, and the Secretary-General, MSc. Nexhmedin Krasniqi.
From the Faculty of Economics in Prizren, participants included Dean, Assist. Prof. Dr. Festim Tafolli; Vice-Dean, Prof. Assist. Dr. Kushtrim Gashi; Head of Teaching, PhDc. Vesel Usaj; Head of Teaching, Prof. Assist. Dr. Anera Musliu; and PhDc. Gjeni Imami, who emphasized the importance of this agreement for expanding institutional cooperation and fostering further academic development.
From the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, attendees included Prof. Dr. Tatjana Spaseska, Dean, Prof. Dr. Dragica Odzaklieska, and Prof. Dr. Nikollçe Jankullovski of St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola.
The five-year agreement foresees a wide range of joint activities, including:
- exchange of academic and research staff;
- student mobility for studies, research, and joint supervision;
- joint development of courses, curricula, and academic programs;
- implementation of joint research projects and shared use of scientific infrastructure;
- organization of conferences, symposia, and short courses.
For the effective implementation of the agreement, both institutions will appoint responsible coordinators, while for student mobility programs, a mutual recognition system of academic credits will be established.
At the end of the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Spaseska, Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Prilep, and Prof. Assist. Dr. Festim Tafolli, Dean of the Faculty of Economics in Prizren, signed the agreement, emphasizing that this collaboration will enhance research and academic capacities, create new opportunities for staff and students, and strengthen the cultural and academic ties between the two neighboring countries.
